We are available to provide our services every day of the year, including outside of regular business hours. This means that our clients can have peace of mind knowing that any urgent requests for medication, including Controlled Drugs, will be taken care of quickly and efficiently.
Community Health, Mental Health NHS Trusts and CICs
At Fairview Health, we offer dispensing services, medicines and consumables supply for various clinics including diabetic, podiatry, sexual health, district nursing and more, for both on and offsite locations. We also provide a free system design service that makes it easy to order and deliver products, while giving you timely information for budgeting and stock control. We have clinical pharmacy teams located on hospital wards to ensure patients receive the best care possible. Our pharmacists review drug charts, provide patient counselling, order medication and attend consultant ward rounds, all while offering advice and guidance to promote safe and effective use of medicines. Our team is led by experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacists.
NHS Acute Trusts
In addition to dispensing for Homecare patients, Fairview offers acute Trusts outpatient dispensing services, management and stock control. Including cardiac resuscitation and other emergency kits, ward, clinic, walk in centre and emergency department stock supply of standard and overlabelled medicines.
Homecare
Fairview Health offers low-tech homecare services to patients on behalf of NHS Trusts and pharmaceutical companies. We have a secure and confidential process for on-boarding patients, dispensing and delivering medicines to their homes. Although the patient’s consultant or GP retains clinical responsibility for the patient, we strive to provide a high-quality service that is tailored to each patient’s needs. Our support line is available 24/7, every day of the year, including bank holidays. Fairview Health is afilliated to the National Clinical Homecare Association and is on the procurement frameworks for the NHS London Procurement Partnership and the East of England Procurement Hub for Low Tech Homecare.
Supply of Overlabelled Medicines
At Fairview Health, we supply a wide range of generic and branded products to various healthcare providers, including unscheduled care providers, hospitals, hospices, pharmacies, and more. We have a license to produce over-labelled medicines and offer a free design service to our clients to determine the range of products needed to support their clinical service. We also produce various medical kits, such as for anaphylaxis, meningitis, dental emergencies, and GP visits, which can be customised according to local policies.
We use technology to improve our services, and our medicines kits come with unique barcodes, allowing us to track the manufacturer, batch number, and expiry date of every product in the case. With this information, we can proactively inform our customers if an item is nearing expiry, reducing wastage. Our online applications, Fairview Online and Fairview MedCheck, offer real-time stockholding information and allow users to scan items from a kit and record kit numbers to enhance patient service.
At Fairview Health, we value reliability and integrity, which is why we source products from authorised and licensed suppliers or manufacture them in-house to ensure the highest quality standards. We also have strict policies in place to ensure that all our products meet these standards. In the case of a defective product recall, we can quickly identify and isolate affected stock to minimise disruptions and ensure maximum efficiency.
Primary Care
At Fairview Health, we’re experts in providing medicines and advice to organisations providing unscheduled medical care. With our innovative medicines case technology, we offer clients a convenient and safe service. Our system includes barcoded medicines that are logged on our data systems, making it easy for us to manage the replenishment of cases and keep track of product expiry dates. This way, our clients can rest assured that their medicine supply is managed to the highest standards.
We offer tiered service levels to all unscheduled care providers, with easy movement between tiers.
Tier 1 – We offer competitive prices for the purchase of drugs, consumables, and medical equipment. Our prices include pre-labelling and barcodes, and cover all the regular medicines used by Out of Hours Care Providers. We also provide a full line service and can provide separate quotes for any other required lines.
Tier 2 – We take care of managing drugs and medical equipment for our clients using specialised cases. Our team at Fairview Health fills, replenishes, and monitors these cases to ensure that they are always stocked and up to date. This innovative approach offers significant benefits, including improved clinical governance and reduced workload for our clients.
Tier 3 – This service builds upon Tier 2 and includes a thorough professional review of prescribing, monitoring, and advice to ensure safe and effective use of medications. We also provide prescription management services to help streamline the process for our clients and meet CQC obligations.
ICBs, Public Health and Local Councils
We offer a range of vaccination and immunisation services, including a supply and administration of influenza vaccination service to local council staff, distribution of Health Start vitamins to clinics, nicotine replacement therapy to support stop smoking, and public access immunisation services for COVID, polio and childhood immunisation programmes.
